National Fostering Agency - Scotland

Based in Grangemouth but covering East Dunbartonshire: NFA Scotland is a well-established independent fostering agency supporting foster families across Scotland. NFA have spent more than 20 years recruiting, assessing, training and supporting local foster carers to provide safe, loving and nurturing homes for children and young people who need them.

We welcome enquiries from people considering fostering for the first time, as well as experienced carers looking to transfer from another agency or local authority. Our carers receive 24/7 support, regular supervision and access to hundreds of training courses. We run local support groups across Scotland – including Inverness, Aberdeenshire, Fife, Edinburgh, Grangemouth, Ayr and Glasgow – plus family events through the year, so carers feel part of a supportive community. Families can also access specialist therapeutic and education support through our national team.
