Profile
For over 25 years Deafblind Scotland has been serving the Deafblind community, sustaining deafblind peopleโs personal and professional support networks and influencing statutory services and policy.ย
The work we do raises the awareness of deafblindness, continually highlights the everyday challenges faced by deafblind people and makes a real difference to and for our citizens and their communities across Scotland
One of our initiatives, the Connect-2-Support project, supports deafblind and visually impaired adults who can find it difficult to access the welfare system, which may result in hardship. The project aims to make the welfare system more accessible and has already raised over ยฃ1million for service users, from unclaimed benefits etc, who accessed the project.
