Profile
Kirkintilloch Town Hall has been rejuvenated with a major refurbishment – delivered by East Dunbartonshire Council and East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Environment Scotland and the Scottish Government.
The original 1906 B-listed sandstone building reopened in 2018 with the addition of modern function spaces as well as offices, a reception area and a new platform lift – installed to increase accessibility. On the upper floor resides Made in Kirkintilloch, a Heritage Centre which tells the story of Kirkintilloch’s Industrial Heritage.
It represents a significant investment in one of this area’s most iconic buildings – benefiting both Kirkintilloch and the wider East Dunbartonshire area.
Kirkintilloch Town Hall is currently closed to the general public and is being used for the roll out of the NHS vaccination programme. We look forward to welcoming the public back soon.
