Merkland Outdoor Recreation Centre is the home of two full size football pitches (one artificial and one grass with running track around), two 5-a-side pitches and one 7-a-side football pitch. These football pitches are often booked in advance by local football teams and the track is booked by the Kirkintilloch Olympians Athletics Club two evenings a week and often more. Worth noting the synthetic and grass pitches are not free to access but the running track and children’s park are. For more details, visit the EDLC website.
